This policy explains what Copy That (copythatfleet.com) collects, why, who helps us process it, and how long we keep it. Copy That is operated by [Company legal name] ("we", "us").

The short version

• You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name.
• Your voice is sent to a speech-to-text service to turn it into text. We do not store your voice recordings.
• The text of your answers and your results are kept for 30 days so you can see your report. Then they are deleted.
• We ask for your email only if you buy a pass or restore one. We use it only for receipts and for restoring a pass.
• Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
• Our analytics do not use cookies and only count totals. We do not build a profile of you.
• One cookie on your device remembers your pass and how many free stops you used today.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

What we collect and why

Your voice (audio)

When you tap to answer, the app records your answer and sends the audio to our speech-to-text processor, which turns it into text. We use the audio only for that. We do not store your audio recordings.

Transcripts and results

We keep the text of your answers (the transcript), the questions you were asked, your scores, the feedback we generate, and your sign and command results. We use them to show you your report.

We keep transcripts and results for 30 days, then delete them.

To grade your answers and write feedback, we send the transcript (not your voice) and the practice trip details to our AI analysis processor.

"My answers" details

If you use the "My answers" feature, you type details such as the company you drive for, your home city, what you usually haul, your usual routes, your years driving, your truck type, and whether you drive team or solo. We send these to our AI analysis processor once, to write English practice answers for you. We do not store these details on our servers. The answers we write are saved only on your phone, in your browser, until you clear your browser data.

Please do not type information you do not want to share, such as your full name, license number, or plate number.

Email address

We collect your email only when you buy a pass or ask to restore one. We use it only to:

• send your receipt, and
• send you a code to restore your pass on another phone.

We do not use your email for marketing.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure form. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us whether the payment went through, the amount, the pass you bought, and the email you gave. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the information you give Stripe.

Device cookie and access code

We set one cookie on your device. It stores your pass (if you bought one) and how many free practice stops you used today. This cookie is needed for the service to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

When you buy a pass, you also get an access code. The code lets you open your pass on another phone. Anyone with your code can use your pass, so keep it private.

Analytics

Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate. They count things like how many people opened a page, which language they chose, and how many practice stops were finished. They do not use cookies, do not follow you across other websites, and do not build a profile of you.

Surveys and problem reports

If you tell us about a real roadside check (for example, what the officer asked) or report a problem, we keep what you send to improve the practice questions and fix the app. These forms are optional. Please do not include your name, license number, or plate number.

Technical information

Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic device and browser information when your phone loads a page. We use this to deliver the service, keep it secure, and prevent abuse (for example, enforcing the daily free-stop limit).

Who processes your information

We use service providers ("processors") to run Copy That. They process information only to provide their service to us.

Who we do not share it with

We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.

We do not give your practice results to FMCSA, USDOT, CVSA, any state agency, any police agency, or your employer. The only exception is if the law requires us to (for example, a valid court order), and then we will share only what is required.

Your choices

• You can practice without giving us your email.
• You can block or clear cookies in your browser. If you do, the app may forget your pass and free-stop count. You can restore a pass with your email or access code.
• You can ask us to see or delete your information. Write to jackson.sam.dejesus@gmail.com. Because there are no accounts, please include your access code or the email you used to pay so we can find your data.

Depending on the state where you live, you may have other privacy rights. We will respond to requests as the law requires.

Age

Copy That is only for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 used the service, we will delete their information.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure.

Where your information is processed

Copy That is run in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change is important, we will show a notice in the app.

Translations

If a translation of this policy is different from the English version, the English version controls.
